I just got my copy and I can already tell you it's my favorite Arizona plant ID book. I live in Cochise County and this book is everything I've wanted to see for a very long time. Finally! There isn't a lot of detail, as the title suggests, for each plant, just about a paragraph on each entry (one entry per page). But the pictures are spot on. (And oh, so beautiful!) It's what you *really* see when you're out in the field. The book is divided into sections: Grasses, trees and shrubs, cacti and succulents, forbs by flower color. I like that it tells if a plant is native or introduced/invasive.Lots of great info in the 'short' and 'not so short' introductions, too.I can use the internet to do in-depth research about a plant if I'm interested, but I have to know what it is first. This book will get me there!
